Not much is better than a fresh, piping hot, lumpia ayam, or Indonesian egg roll with chicken and vegetables. These “loempia’s” come in many sizes. From snack to appetizer, to full meal size. I make appetizer size in this recipe, but you can use larger wrappers, and make meal size ones!
We often make lumpia when we have leftover vegetables and meat. We typically fry all of them and then freeze most of them. When we want them, we’ll reheat them in the oven.
However, an alternative way is to flash fry the lumpia, so the seal is made, let it cool, then freeze it. When you want to eat them, you can fry them right before serving.
Serve them with sweet chili sauce or peanut sauce.

I made these today. I found the oil went inside of the loempia. How do we prevent that?
Make sure the oil is at the right temperature. Oftentimes you will have to wait between loempia’s to get the oil hot enough.
