Why not start a brand new Christmas dinner tradition, the Dutch way. Ever since the 1970s, many Dutch families have been doing this (Gourmetten) for Christmas dinner. It’s a hybrid between Raclette and Tepanyaki. It’s also a wonderful, relaxed, way to have dinner as a family, without too much stress!! There is plenty of time for conversation, and everyone makes food the way they like it! Nobody will feel left out!!
As a host, you will have some prep work to do, but after that, you are taking part in this, like everyone else. No need to keep running back-and-forth to the kitchen, to check up on whatever you’re cooking for the next course!!
