I want to start by saying that I am sorry for how quiet it has been here.
Toine’s Kitchen has always been a place where I try to show up fully, with the time, focus, and creativity needed to do these recipes right. Lately, there have been things close to home that have taken more out of me than usual. As a result, I simply have not had the energy or creative space to create the kind of content you have come to expect here.
That does not mean the work matters any less. If anything, it is because it matters so much that I have chosen not to rush it or push something out that does not feel right. Cooking, writing, and filming all ask for presence, and right now that presence is limited.
I am looking forward to getting back into the kitchen and making new, exciting cooking videos as life settles into a new normal. It will not look exactly the same as before, but the care, curiosity, and love for Dutch and Indonesian food will still be there. Until then, thank you for your patience, for revisiting older recipes, and for continuing to cook along. It truly means a lot.
