Typically served with some mustard on the side, the Dutch rank them as one of their most favorite snack foods. You will see these on the menu in most bars and cafés, but they’re also a favorite at the many local snack bars, where patrons enjoy these together with some deliciously crispy French fries.

These pasteitjes are the perfect combination of tender meat in a smooth, warm gravy, and wrapped in a buttery, flaky puff pastry cup! Typically, when I make these, I spread the work out over two days. However, if you plan it out correctly, it is definitely doable in a single day.
